Update from Friis

After spending most of the European winter in Cape Town and not really getting the conditions I was expecting I chose to go directly to El Medano, Tenerife to really dial in my sailing before the competition season started. Unfortunately I was met by almost a month of no wind, but when the conditions finally started to kick in I was in for a treat. I have had loads of really good days on the water in proper side-onshore wave conditions and I have even managed to start busting out some sick wave 360's.

I've got my own apartment here in El Medano, less than 50 meters from Cabezo Beach and I plan to stay here throughout the summer until the end of August, which is when I go back to Denmark for the competitions there. Right now my focus is mainly on getting prepared for the World Cup in Pozo and Cabezo, so I'm spending as much time on the water as possible and I can't wait to show the world what I've learned throughout the past season.
